Jack,

I saw a couple of guys modify one of those "cigaret lighter" transformers.
The took it apart.
Replaced the "plug" leads with wire and connected the wires to the
electrical harness (with
a fuse in between. don't recall what amperage) Then they put the case back
together and
mounted it, out of the way, on the back side of the panel. They used it to
power a handheld
radio. Worked quite well.

I've got a small intercom that uses a 9 volt battery.

When I leave the plane, someone must be sneaking in to it and turning the
intercom back on. I find it on quite often and the battery will be dead.
I
would not leave it on, so it must be some extremist group or the local
Cessna owners.

Any suggestions on what type of transformer I can used to wire the
intercom
into the airplane battery (12 to 9 volt transformer)?

The ones at the local Radio Shack are all made for cig. lighter plug ins.

Jack
