Good question, Louis.
Have you checked the shielding on the spark plug wires? Is it intact?
Properly grounded? That could explain why it would work on the bench
but not when the engine was running at speed. Note that some static
problems can be the dickens to run down. But any mechanic is more
than willing to do it on your nickle.
