Subject: [COUPERS] How do I locate a part?

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any
advice in this forum.]----
Fellow Coupers,
I ran into a most interesting problem, and maybe someone out there has the
answer;
I have a 415D #3817, with rudder pedals (no brake pedal). My brakes were a
bit weak (hand brake) so I decided it was time to bleed the clevelands.
After bleeding, the handbrake would only move 2 inches, very tight, the
wheel brakes were a bit dragging, but I had otherwise no brakes! Pulling
the handle had zero effect. I let a bit of fluid out of the bleeder, which
freed the dragging brakes, but still had no brakes.
Today I took out the floor and rudder pedals to see what was going on
under there. I found that when I was pulling the brake handle now, the
entire assembly of the master cylinder is moving, not just the piston.
Hence, no brakes. Here's the rub:
There's a bar that crosses the front of the cockpit, under the floor. The
floorboard and the remains of the once brake pedal both mount to it. Now
hopefully someone knows what this bar is...so anyway, on this bar there is
on each side, a small bracket type device which connects this bar to the
structure under the floor. On the left side, right by the master cylinder,
this small attaching piece is broken. Hence, the entire assembly can move
some, instead of compressing the piston.
Hope I haven't lost anyone yet..this brackett on the left: Does anyone
know what it's called, or even a part number? I can describe it well, i
just have no idea what it is, so when i call Skyport or whoever, i have no
idea what to ask for.
Help!
