Well, it isn't really missing, just gone to a new home. The one and only
local coupe here in Eureka, CA and maybe in our whole large county of
Humboldt, no longer lives here. :-(

I wondered why I hadn't seen it at my airport (Murray Field) lately. But
then I know that the owner, well former owner, puts it in storage for the
winter. Also, somebody told me that he was now flying it out of
Rohnerville (another local airport).

Last Saturday I happened to see him at the grand opening of a new RC
store. It was raining hard and the new store didn't have much inventory
yet, so the grand opening wasn't so grand, but I was happy to see John.
When I asked him where his plane was he told me that he sold it to a guy
in Fresno for what he said was a great price. I think that's true. John's
a good guy and his plane was always immaculate inside and out. I didn't
think John would ever sell his coupe. He said that he just didn't have
time
to fly it as much as he wanted to and than he had too many things
competing
for his finances. I'm broken hearted. I asked him why he didn't
advertise
it around here. Not that I have any money to buy it anyway.

I was hoping that the new owner is on this list as I am interested in
keeping track of that plane. If any of you Fresno coupers know the guy
who bought John in Eureka's plane, please tell him about the coupers list.

At least I got to go up in it once. It is the only coupe I've ever flown
in and John let me fly it, except for the landing. That sure was a happy
day for me.

Spook
