Hey Bubba Aloha. I've had about 9000 miles of air time in the past week
and
a half
does that count for anything??? Has a great time and Mai Tais aplenty. Was
kinda apprehensive walking around on a live volcano but all the rest was
neat.
Before we left I got together with Bob Washburn but the field was still
too
wet midfield for the two of us to lift off, when we hit the wet spot it
was
like slamming on the brakes then running out of runway before we could
lift
off.
I'm growing a dislike for grass strips as they restrict you flying with
anykind of peukey weather.
Anyway I got Bob to take it up alone,(less wieght) and he did do a couple
of patterns, Looked good and sounded good.
That was a shakedown that showed an inaccurate airspeed indicator and a
slight heavy right wing. Need to adjust that new aileron push-rod that
went
in there.
Pulled the airspeed and sent it out for recalibration before I left. It
was
waiting for me when I returned and I got it in on sat. The field was
pretty
much dried up and then that crappy snow came again yesterday then more
rain.
Well the Wisc Wing is meeting on the 14th at 57C and the plan is to fly
in.

ps--Dennis, I didn't bring you a pineapple but toasted a couple of Mai
Tais
to ya
