I just had my exhaust clamping rebuilt two months ago at the annual.  My 
mechanic did a really nice job and the exhaust is tight.  He used an 
ercoupe clamp from Univair on one side and the piper clamp mentioned in 
this list on the other.  The piper clamp has a pin in it so you have to 
drill a hole through the muffler flange and the header pipe.  This keeps 
the assembly from rotating.  The other side uses the normal Ercoupe 
clamp w/o a pin so it is free to move a bit when the metal expands.  
This is the first time my exhaust has been tight.

I am sorry but I do not have the number of the piper clamp here (it is 
in the hangar with my records.)  It was mentioned on either this list or 
the Ercoupe Tech list about six months ago. 

I also have the SK kit that puts a flexible strap between the end of the 
exhaust and the engine mount but without the pin the assembly invariably 
rotates.
