----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Hi Coupers, As the Oregon Wing Leader of EOC I'd like to invite any of you who are close enough to join us this Sunday (4-28) at McMinnville OR to visit the "Spruce Goose". I have reservations set up with the Museum to get us a group discount Just let them know that you are with the "Oregon Ercoupe Erforce" and you'll get the group discount. We'll be meeting in the Spruce Goose Cafe at 1:00pm for lunch and then go in as a group if we are all there on time. If you are flying in you can call 503-434-4180, extension 4467 for shuttle service to the Museum. All you NW Coupers are invited to join us as it's sort of 'centrally located' for all of us who live out of the Portland-Vancouver area. This will be my first time to see it so I'm pretty anxious for Sunday to hurry up and get here. I'll be driving up so I have directions from the museum. If you come from the North, take the Tigard exit from I-5 and that will put you onto Hwy 99W, follow that until you get to Dundee and it changes to OR18. Continue on 18 until you approach McMinnville and you'll see the Museum on your right. (Just in case you get lost in McMinnville, the address of the Museum is 3685 NE Three Mile Lane.) If you're driving up from the South, I'd suggest taking the Salem Exit from I-5 (Hwy22) and going West until you get to Hwy 99W at Rickreall and then head North again until you get to McMinnville. That's the way I'm going to go. We'll also be having a "Surprise Fly-in" on August 25th that I can't announce right now because even the OEE members don't know where it is yet. It's a special preview just for we 'coupers' of something that is destined to go into aviation history books, so if you're anywhere within flying distance from the mid western part of Oregon, (Willamette Valley area) you might want to keep that date open so that when I announce it in August you can join us if it's something you'd be interested in.
