I suspect the plastic top on the gauge has cracked. I've had the same problem and I contribute it to the crack. I haven't found a replacement top but I glued the crack and it helped. It may be time to replace the whole contraption in order to get a new cork float anyway. Has everyone sent in their registration for the Nationals? Rooms are filling up in Mason!
