----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Thanks, Don. For the last couple of years, I've been running hectically all the time. I may have to devote my limited free time to Challenger groups. For the last year and a half, I've several times gotten so far behind I've had to just delete a couple of hundred Coupe messages to get caught up. Nevertheless, I have a lot of friends in the Coupe world. Several Coupers came to our wedding and I've known many for 20 years. I'll want to stay in touch as much as I can. You are right, it will come out looking great and it will keep John off the streets for a few months. I was talking to John Sr. this weekend when I picked up my plane from annual. He gave me the bad news that the plane was going to be up for sale. He told me that the plane was mechanically sound, just needs paint and interior. Ed, I hope you stay with us, as mentioned previously; you are good for the EOC and the Coupe list. (I walked around it half a dozen times petting it and thinking nice thoughts at it.) 2nd good news: I sold it to John Wright, Jr., so it'll be on the market again before toooo long, probably looking better than it has ever since the day it was born. (The price will be higher.) For those who are interested, if you buy it before he paints it, you get to choose the paint and upholstery (and any other upgrades). I encourage anyone who would be willing to hangar, fly carefully and take good care of my baby to contact John. I suspect he'll be taking names. John Wright, Jr. 5813 Old Jacksonville Rd. Springfield, IL 62707-6146 (If you want to tie it out and let it corrode into a memory, I'm less encouraging. This is a very good airplane, IMHO. It is not perfect but with good care, it could fly till its 100th birthday. Wouldn't that be something? Like most Coupes, it's already been flying for more than 50% of the entire history of aviation.)
