Hi Folks, The Collings Foundation's restored B-17 and B-24 have added an additional stop to their tour at the last minute. If any of you happen to be in the San Franscisco Bay area June 3-5, it's sure worth your time to go visit these gorgeous historic planes. The planes have visited my area every year since '92 and I have not missed a visit. They will be in Crescent City, CA June 7-9 and we are planning to drive up there from Eureka to see them. I think that it's astonishing how the Collings folks are able to keep these magnificent old planes in FLYING condition and tour all over the US every year. I know it can't go on forever, although I wish it could! Added only two days ago, the visit will have the aircraft at the Sheraton Ramp at Buchanan Field near Pacific States Aviation. We are asking all our our loyal supporters in the area to let everyone they know about our visit. Prompted by many calls and requests from veterans and supporters in the area, the Collings Foundation hopes to rebuild a yearly stop in Concord after an absence of a few years. The aircraft will be arriving on Monday, June 3rd at 3:00 PM and will be open until 6:30 PM. On June 4th, they will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. On June 5th, they will be open at 9:00 AM until they depart for Chico, CA at 1:00 PM. As always, tours through the aircraft are available for a $7 donation for adults, $3 donation for children under 12.
