At about 3PM I realized that anything further that I could do on
N99387 to prepare for the Nationals would be in vain. I could
remove every last trace of belly oil and bug, but I'll just acquire
more of both on the 6 hour flight out.

On the other hand, her 'Dad' will probably be there, and I can't
be showing Lynn a sloppy plane. One doesn't buy, one adopts,
such things. So I even cleaned the seats.

The carb heat intake duct that I found so spectacularly fractured
yesterday morning has now been replaced with a piece of plain old
SCAT.  We've lost that 'hot rod' look, though.

The flight is planned...both for moderate wind and strong headwind.
I'm averse to legs of more than two hours, even if that only gets me
150 sm.

It's looking more and more like Wednesday will be the day to slip
between the weather pulses that seem to march from midwest to
northeast this time of year. Start at 0500 for good measure.

Who else is coming?
