Hi All

I'm in the process of doing my annual on 99714, so while I had it all
apart decided to go ahead and take the wings off and look at the center
section. Except for some dirt along the rear spar everything looked as
clean as a whistle. I had about ten different people look at it also, no
one found anything.
If you put a bright light in the cockpit in front of the main spar you can
see the front of the main spar from the outside. After cleaning it out I
sprayed some corrosion X in it.
The previous owner had the plane for nine years and it sit outside, I've
had it for a little over three years and it sits outside.
I have 310 hours on the plane and if this rain every stops so I can finish
my annual I'm going to put some more hours on it.
A friend of mine who restored a coupe from the ground up and won a trophy
with it at Sun N Fun a few years ago said that he was surprised at how
clean it was on the inside, coming from him that was quite a complement.

Taking the wings off is the best way to see the whole inside of the center
section, you can't see everything looking through little holes cut in the
bottom of the fuse.
