I can not see why driiping a teaspoon full of fuel is a problem in the plane. My Stromberg can run the whole headertank dry on a bad week. It just keeps dripping and dripping. That's why I close the valve from the header tank and all is fine. I understand that any attempt to fix the dripping problem leads to replacing the float valve and needle , which will last a years or so and then you'll have it all over again. Closing the valve is a much cheaper fix. The dripping action is just a small design mishap in the carburetor, it does not (or should not) affect the general function.
