Hello Group; Today I feel I've passed somewhat of a milestone, in that, since her rebirth late last April, 99621 (Spirit of Camp Lake) just went thru her first scheduled oil change. Now I'm sure that for most of you Coupers that's just HO HUM but for me it was a 25 hour shake down period and I'm happy to say she kept me smilling. Since I started with an 85 with 9 hrs since Topped I expected some oil usage during breakin. In 25 hrs it amounted to 3 qts. I think all of them went thru the breather. I did have to run the breather pipe outside the cowl to keep the nasties on the outside. Also had to add new brake pucks for the Goodyears. Other then that I'm loving every minute of open cockpit flying. Took her up this afternoon and for the first time, at 3500AGL I was wishing for a jacket. Cool and crisp and extreme CAVU.
