I dissagree, some of us fly VOR to VOR on cross countries. IFR is
basically that. Only that you have no visual reference to the ground.
Assuming you climb on top, you have a forward view, which makes IFR not
that difficult. The plane never knows that it is in the clouds. As for
Coupes not having anti-ice, or de-ice, we dont need it. If there is ice,
dont climb into it. If the freezing level is 6,000, then dont go past
that. The coupe does have an anti-ice/de-ice piece of equipment though.
The carb heat. And the pitot heat can be considered that as well if you
have it.
