Hello all
Just thought I would pass on this info.I bought a set
of slick Mags Afew weeks back to finish up the coupe
engine , Great deal Buy Slicks send in the old
Eisemann
mags and get a few bucks back <so I thought>
Just so happens that a small amount of eisemann mags
had a different size gear or should I say shaft size.
Drive gear#36067 used on Bendix $148.00
#36066 will fit the Slick @ $519.40
To sum it up There is a third gear that is what I had
on the LA4 mag . So if you have the odd gear you could
spend over a $1000.00 bucks on gears to get the job
done. Or call a salvage yard and luck out at $200.00
John at skyport now knows all this and can be a great
help.
All that said and done ground test and first flight
was a success , people sure look at you funny when you
get out of a Ercoupe and your wearing a crash helmet
