Small planes do not pose a significant threat, either of transporting terrorists into the country or of blowing things up. A threat, yes, as does anything that can move, and anything that can be packed with IED's. But to spread fear that small planes are potentially terrorists sneaking in from Canada is wild storytelling. If terrorists intend to attack us, they will find a way. Our best defense is a to develop a good offense--don't let the bastards get away with these activities without swift and sure retaliation. Let us be very vigilant about who is living next door, and report suspicious people and activities to the FBI. Stirring up sentiment against small aircraft pilots is NOT the way to stop terrorism. It IS a component of the fear-factor that leads to the erosion of freedoms we hold dear in this country.
