I am going to pass on the 415G project Coupe I "rescued" from
a long period of inactivity. Last flight in 1995. It was manufactured
in 1949. N99425 Serial 5059.

The previous owner was an A & P and worked as an FAA maintenance inspector
for
the Seattle FSDO. He is in a nursing home.

It is a complete airplane with rudder pedals. (I can remove them & restore
the original
configuration if wanted)

Airframe logs are present since new and show 2708.93 TTAF.

The engine logs are fragmented and show that the engine was installed
after
having been pulled from another Ercoupe. Only the logs since the
installation
are present. The engine log book is in poor physical condition since the
binding
has let the pages come loose. The engine has 742 SMOH and 368 since a top
was done.

The aircraft has a modern transponder and encoder installed. The Comm is a
piece
of junk. However a handheld will be included.

I have run the engine long enough to bring the oil temps up then checked
the
screen and
cut open the oil filter. No metal was found. The screen and filter was
clean. However the
leakdown found all compression to be in the middle 50s to low 60s. Since
the
engine was
sitting so long it will need at least a top. The exhaust is in excellent
condition.

The airframe center section is clear of corrosion. The wings were
recovered
in Ceconite
and will need refinishing. The present finish is Dope and will wipe off
with
MEK. Swiss
cheese AD has been done. There is some corrosion on the ailerons but they
can be cleaned.
Fuel tanks do not leak.

The aircraft is located in Tacoma, WA and is ready to trailer. I could
help
with delivery
in Washington or Oregon.

I need $6000.00 for this to recover my costs. I would estimate another
6-7000 to put
this airplane back in top shape. Probably 2-3000 to put it in minimum
shape
for
an annual.

If interested let me know. I am being hounded for some parts but would
much
rather see it back in the air.

Cheers:

Paul
