Hi Bill,
Go to www.perfectpolish.com he is a dealer for the polish and buffer.
They have a special way they do it developed by the Swift flyers. He will
sell you a tape showing you how to do it and then refund your money for
the tape with your first order. His name is Tom and he is located in
Petaluma Ca. Real nice guy.

Subject: [COUPERS-FLYIN] polishing system

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any
advice in this forum.]----
Hi folks--

Finally got 99790 back in the air after a four month owner-assisted
annual. I am a former Comanche driver
who decided slower is better. Bought 1/2-interest in 99790, which is
all-metal with pedals. I saw a rather
lengthy thread of postings a few months ago about a buffer that has dual
heads and some sort of wonder
wax sold by the same company that makes the buffer. I can't find it, so
it must have been before my system
crashed. Would someone please re-post the web site URL for the buffer and
polish.

I convinced my partner to do the owner-assisted annual so we could both
learn the airplane. After dealing
with the Comanche's landing gear system, constant speed prop and all the
other stuff that makes the Comanche
the great airplane that it is, I found that the Ercoupe is a lot like a
Model A Ford (I've restored a couple of them
in the past) in that there is not much on the Ercoupe that is not there
for a purpose. Very basic airplane,
and a heck of a lot of fun to fly. We replaced the motor mounts (got rid
of a lot of vibration, and the old ones
were as hard as hocky pucks and three of the disks were cracked into
pieces) installed those teardrops
on the top cowling so we could use modern spark plugs, and replaced the
brake fluid reservoir.

Anyway, it's great to have her back in the air, and the flying weather is
great this time of year here in
Central Texas. Would appreciate any information about that dual-head
buffer.

Thanks,

Bill Herridge
