Steve: I would consider repairing the cylinders unless the exhaust ports are terribly eroded out, which leaves no room for the gasket to seal. C. E. Biter in Sebring, FL does an excellent job. I have had 4 cylinders chromed back to standard and made like new with 100 octane valves, 0-200 valve springs, new valve guides, rocker bushings, new pistons and rings and the total was around $1600. Biter only charges $99 per cylinder labor, and he will tell you which are the best parts to order. I believe his phone number is 888 314 9641. If you can't reach that from Canada, try 863 314 9641.
