Fact is 73 and most 80 was lead free. Remember back when mogas came in regular and ethyl? Ethyl, as in Tetra-ethyl-lead... The regular didn't have lead in it, and was 80/87 octane. 100 LL has a maximum of 4.0 ml/gallon and green 100 has (had) 8.0 ml/gallon. So, if you're using 100LL you've got AT LEAST 4 times MORE lead than with 80.
