Hi Brent,
I've committed a fix in glusterfs--mainline--3.0--patch-194. This patch aims
to fix high memory usage during multiple dd s. Can you please check whether
it works?

I went to test, but I got this when compiling, presumably due to a previous patch:

stripe.c: In function stripe_check_xattr_cbk:
stripe.c:3396: warning: implicit declaration of function raise
stripe.c:3396: error: SIGTERM undeclared (first use in this function)
stripe.c:3396: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
stripe.c:3396: error: for each function it appears in.)
stripe.c: In function init:
stripe.c:3577: warning: passing argument 2 of gf_string2bytesize from incompatible pointer type

Thanks,

Brent
