We are currently using the glusterfs 1.3.12 and the round robin scheduler, we had an issue recently where one of the servers was under heavy load and it caused every other request to timeout. I was looking into config changes to help with this. I came across the ALU Scheduler. which seemed like it might help, but I can not tell if it would catch this kind of issue (high load on server, or response time for reads/writes)
