My guess is the init script doesn't stop only the daemon.
In Debian at least it stops both the client and the daemon
Yeah, the script is named 'glusterfs-server' which made me assume it
only stopped the server.
Bad assumption I suppose...
no, the assumption is correct, what's wrong is the script stopping
the client
