Hi Paul,

I've been testing GlusterFS since 2.0.9 in our environnement(Distributed
replicated Setup with a lot of small file) and we have seen good things but
also bad one. To me, the last stable version after 2.0.9 was 3.1.3(I've tested
each version even the QA release). Gluster Team has added good features and
done a lot of buzz on the web but that what we need know is a strong stability
and reliability.
I'm quite dispointed with the new version (geo rep does'nt work at all for me),
small files performance didn't improve since 3.0.X, CIFS is still not native,.
Also the change in their support model is now quite a nightmare for us(Only
support CentOS and virtual Appliance).
We have to go in production at the end of June and I have to admit I'm a bit
scared.

So in a nutshell : Stability and reliability. We don't need a new version every
month.

Regards,
Anthony
