root@vms1:~# gluster volume info test

Bricks:
Brick1: zoo:/gfs
Brick2: vms1:/gfs

zoo and vms1 are Intel 64bit Xeons 3 GHz quadcore server with 8 GB RAM and 1 
GbE.

But which values for which parameters ure useful?

I have tried it with:

gluster volume set test performance.cache-size 256MB
gluster volume set test performance.write-behind-window-size 256MB

but got no better performance.
