I can report that mixing 32bit and 64bit within one cluster, even mixing bricks on these architectures into one volume, doesn't seem to have any bad effect. At least nothing dbench didn't find with accessing several hundred files several hundred times a second. I think one of the reasons the official support doesn't cover non-x86_64 is that some of the file-ids are 64bit or something like that... Working for an intel-reseller I probably won't get the chance to test gluster on non x86* hardware. ;-) Have fun, Arnold
