I'd like to point you to "[Gluster-devel] Specific bug question" dated few

I guess this is

This could be helpful but as far as I can see a lot of important information
is missing: e.g. what glusterfs version you are using, what operating
system and kernel version, what underlying filesystem is used for the
bricks. Is the volume mounted on a separate client machine, or on one of
the brick servers? "gluster volume info" would be useful too.
Also I would think that strace -tt -f from the client and servers
(client and brick processes) could be useful, but the time would have to
be synchronized. I think that would best identify a possible race. My
suspicion is that it's the same as
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765512 (which I still see
with 3.3.0).
It would also be wise, if you have a reproducible problem like that, to
file a bug report. If it is a duplicate, as you were asking in -devel,
someone will mark it so and you'll have your answer, otherwise they can
ask for more information and fix it so we all win. :D
