Hi Daniel,
You can try getting the samba source from
https://forge.gluster.org/samba-glusterfs. Though I dont expect it is
different then upstream samba but it is worth a try.

The system is Ubuntu 12.04
I download and extracted source packages of samba and glusterfs and I built
glusterfs, so I get the right necessary structure:
glusterfs version is 3.4 and it's from ppa.
# ls
