You definitely want time synchronization between all of your machines.

It's super easy to do these days, just installing the ntp package with whatever your distribution default settings should do the trick.

e.g. 'aptitude install ntp' on Debian/Ubuntu

If you have to choose NTP servers, just use pool.ntp.org
