I presume you mean 3.8 :)
I am running latest proxmox with Gluster 3.8.4, no issues. I think there
is a problem with 3.8.5 involving file descriptors and gfapi access,
which is being worked on.
Semi-Related: Latest qemu (2.7.0-6) from pve-nosubscription is broken
for snapshots. Unrelated to Gluster.
