Kannan,

Currently GlusterFS depends on backend LVM snapshot for snapshot feature,
and LVM is not very friendly with migrating blocks. Currently best way of
sending the data out from snapshot would be to do the 'xfsdump' from
snapshot, and send it to another place. May be that would work faster.
