On mine it is ever so faintly underlined with a dotted line. Not all formats work either. I sent myself the following from another account "Let’s meet tomorrow at 7pm or otherwise on 10th July at 9pm?" Gmail picks up the "tomorrow at 7pm" bit but not "10th July at 9pm".
