Better put a hold on any excitement I have generated. It's not working. AND I think I figured why I thought it was - The addresses I used are re-directed to our gmail accounts
Apologies all Keith Bainbridge +61 (0)447 667 468 [email protected] ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Keith Bainbridge <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Jun 27, 2013 at 11:12 AM Subject: Auto bcc To: [email protected] G'day All This topic was raised some months ago, and I couldn't see a final answer. In fact looking for an answer lead me to the group. I wanted it so that I can see what I have sent for work from home, in my work email client. I have tested this from my wife's gmail account and my own, to our non-gmail addresses. It seems to work, albeit it seems slow to arrive at the bcc address. I use a third gmail account as a back-up - a comfort in case something should happen to our normal email accounts. So here's what I did: I hadn't sent any forwarding for my wife's account, so set that up to start. That process asked me to confirm the forwarding address by getting the security code from the addressee mail box. Turn OFF any present forwarding of incoming mail - it can be turned on later. Set up a filter for mail FROM me. Go to the 'forwarding' tab in settings. See that the forwarding address is in use by a filter. Confirm that forwarding from the filter worked by send myself a note. When happy it is working, turn back on forwarding all incoming mail - but this must be the same address. This would be ideal for the person who wants 'everybody' to see that the responsible person has attended to mail, and the person's replies. Just set the central account to then forward all incoming mail to a group. Good luck Keith Bainbridge +61 (0)447 667 468 [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Gmail-Users" group.
