I don't generally agree with the use of fonts in e-mail, being a purist of text-only; but true-type fonts like Comic Sans MS are a function of your OS. Do you have those available in your default word processor on Ubuntu?
Also, realize that when you send an e-mail, you don't send the font itself, but a suggestion to the reader of what font to display it in. If they don't have the font installed, or choose to display text-only, they won't see if the same way it looked when it left your system in your chosen font.
