Hello: I'm experiencing an odd issue with Gmail.

After opening an email containing an attachment,

I would normally click on the file icon and drag it in to an open folder to
save a copy of the file. This action now results in a link being created in
the destination folder.

I've done due diligence and Googled for a fix and cannot find one.

Clicking on download and browsing to the folder does work. (It just is
inconvenient.)

Any insight greatly appreciated.

System is Ubuntu 12.04.
Browser is Chrome Version 30.0.1599.114
