recently, i was watching a youtube video and saw a microsoft advert. and it annoyed me. 'Google looks through your emails to sell ads. Outlook doesn't.'
What annoys me is that Microsoft can talk about google like that and google doesn't return fire. You could call me a noob or an idiot for thinking that microsoft would ever put a dent in Google, but look at the facts. People less technically savvy are convinced by adverts like these to distrust google. Among less technically savvy people, android is notorious for being more susceptible to viruses and what does this do? grow competition. Of course that's basic. a company fires at another company to gain profit. so what? that's business. The truth is, over my long and experienced lifetime (15 years), i've made 3 hotmail accounts, all of which were hacked and i was blocked out of, even though i had backup data on there. The customer service to retrieve those accounts was horrible and i gave up. afterwards, i resorted to gmail. I love(d) it. Every time someone tries to gain access to my account, i am notified; i am told where it was being accessed from, when and how. All im saying is, why don't we revolt against Microsoft- Yes, they're a pioneer and i respect them- but they tick me off- big time. instead of copying other's ideas and gaining all of their profit from dirty play, they need to be fresh, like google and kind of like apple. Google is famous for accessing your mail (WHICH THEY DO NOT) Microsoft needs to be famous for security issues and crap ideas. Help. Fight.
