Tim,
>From the iPhone, go into Mail, click on Add Account, and select Google.  It
will ask for your name, e-mail address, and password.  Once it connects it
will ask if you want to sync mail, contacts, calendar, and notes.  Select
the ones you want to sync and then hit Next.  It should work.
