Examine the full headers (Show Original) to see where they have been hiding. Follow the dates to see when and where they were. Chances are, there is a (malfunctioning?) email router somewhere on the Internet that was holding those emails for you. In other words, PROBABLY not at Google's end, and therefore not much you can do about it except contact the sysadmins of that system.
