I have lots of problems with my clients that use Apple Mail to my own
Dovecot and Courier IMAP systems. I advise them to use Thunderbird and all
is well.

If you click on the checkbox to the upper left of the message list
([image: Inline image 1])
it will select all
on that page
. A link will then appear above the message list
to the effect 'all 50 conversations on this page selected. *Select all
50,000 messages in Trash*'. Click on the underlined link and then the
'move' dropdown ([image: Inline image 1]) and select Inbox.
