The instructions are: 1. Sign in to your account at accounts.google.com. 2. At the top, click *Data tools*. 3. In the Data Tools box, click *Delete products*. 4. Click *Remove Gmail permanently*.
However, when I go to the data tools page and enter the name of my other gmail address it then asks for my "current password" - neither the password for the account I am trying to cancel or for my other gmail account works.
