Occasionally when I log into my Gmail from a new computer, I am presented
with a page to confirm my alternate email and cellphone number, I'm
guessing that's what Josef is referring to.

Josef, either your account was compromised and you should reset your
password and account recovery options, or you just forgot about an email
address you had :P

I would also do an offline virus scan of your PC.
