Gmail has a "Quick Links" Lab. Find it under Settings > Labs. As long
as a Gmail view has a distinct URL (most do), you can save it to your Quick
Links, and then call it up at any time by clicking on that Quick Link.
Quick Links themselves are not the easiest feature to use since they are
relegated to a part of the webpage that gets tossed around a bunch; but it
can save a lot of time.

I am not sure what your "Unread First" choice refers to unless you mean
"IS:Unread". If not, there's a chance my answer doesn't apply.
