Merging, no, not that I've ever heard of; but Google has several places
where they talk about the portability of your data.  So every one of their
services should allow you to get your information out, and presumably you
could load it back into the new account.

That said, this being a GMail user's forum, you can easily pull all your
mail out of the one account, and put it into the other.  You can use POP or
IMAP (I'd suggest IMAP) to download your "old" gmail account, and then,
using IMAP, upload it into your "new" account.  If you use IMAP on both
sides, you'll move your labels as well, and maintain which labels are
attached to which messages.
