If I click on the icon of a person (blue disc, upper right of the Gmail screen) it shows my name and the "Sign Out" words. Of course, since I'm the only one whose identity shows, I can only sign out of my own Google account. That's not the problem. The problem comes when I want to sign in. I can sign in as myself - but I should be able to see both my identity and my wife's identity - and I can, on the desktop computer. On the laptop, when either my wife or I want to sign in, **only my identity shows up**. The only other option is to create a new identity. I seems like Google (Gmail) on the laptop isn't recognizing that there is a second identity. I thought maybe I could re-create my wife's identity on the laptop. No, I can't. It give me the error message that her identity is already in use, and it suggests alternate identities.
For the time being, the only solution which works at all is for me to use IE as the browser, and my wife to use Chrome. That does work, but none of the other "solutions" on the Google pages work at all. I can't even create a new User in Chrome, because there is no "User" item to click on in the Chrome menu. If anyone thinks of a solution, or of a way to seek help from Google itself, please let me know.
