I am wanting to change my username on my Gmail account. From the research I have done, it seems that this is not possible - that I'm going to have to create a new Gmail account if I want a different username. While this is not ideal, I suppose it's what I will do. However, I'm wondering how that will impact my current account information. If I create a new Gmail account, how will that effect my current page, contacts, friends, etc. with my Google+ account? Can I create a new Gmail account and just add it to my current profile and still keep my Google+ identity? Also, how will this effect my phone and contacts? I use an Android phone and sign in with my current Gmail account. If I create a new one, will I be able to transfer those contacts over and use my new Gmail account? If anyone has answers to these questions, or knows where I can find them, I would greatly appreciate the feedback. It seems there is no way to contact Google directly to ask them.
