I created a new label called MoveTo
Then, in conversation view, for each label in turn I

   - selected all conversations (including the option if there were more
   than 50)
   - Moved all conversations to the new MovedTo label
   - Moved them back to the original label

A bit time consuming, but nothing compared to moving one at a time
Seems to have worked as far as I can see
