What happens when you click on that little box? It might reveal what the sender's address is. My view in Google Groups differs from yours, apparently, so I couldn't try it out myself. The tendency with some online groups, is to obfuscate EVERYONE'S email addresses when viewed online, regardless of whether the sender sent it via a post to a website, or an email message.
