Hi Diane
You can turn 2 step verification on or off whenever you want. If you do
turn it on make sure your number and alternative email address are set up
correctly otherwise you won't be able to log on as Google will send a 6
didget code to your phone or email (whatever you sell as you 2 step
verification option).
Not sure if that's clear enough.
