Yes, his account will not be affected by changes you make to your account. If you don't use Firefox or IE then don't worry about them. If someday you decide to login to your Google account via one of those other browsers then perhaps you'll have to enter a verification code for that browser just as if it were its own computer. I'm not entirely sure about that but that would make sense. But what does it matter if you're not going to use them?
